What to Expect After Your Microblading Session

  • Your new microbladed eyebrows will go through several phases in the first month in particular.
  • Immediately following the session, the deposited pigmentation will appear very sharp and dark. This is because much of the pigment is sitting atop the skin and has not yet fully permeated the skin. The color of the pigment will gradually soften.
  • It is expected that you may see some excess pigmentation in the cotton swab used during the cleaning process. You might also think this is the color fading; it isn’t. This is superficial color that was not deposited in the skin.
  • It usually takes at least 2 appointments for desired results. The first appointment is focused on structure, design and a basis for beautiful brows. Touchup sessions will refine the look of your eyebrows and focus on enhanced volume as needed and balancing symmetry.
  • Itching and flaking may appear during the first 7-14 days after your microblading session. This is a normal part of the healing process.

Steps to Take Before Showering

  1. Before entering shower, apply a layer of post-care cream to protect your eyebrows from moisture.
  2. During the shower, take care to keep your face away from water coming under pressure from the shower head.
  3. As previously stated, avoid hot and/or steamy water temperatures.
