Under about fifty is worth a question — dermaplaning is done with a surgical blade by a licensed esthetician, and the price usually tells you how long they are spending and who is holding it.

For makeup sitting flat and for product absorbing, yes, noticeably, and immediately. As a treatment for texture, pigment or acne scarring, it is the mildest thing on the resurfacing menu and a peel or microdermabrasion will do more. The most honest way to think about it: dermaplaning is an excellent thing to have done before an event and a weak choice as your only skin plan.

Three real ones. It is superficial, so it does nothing for anything below the surface. Skin is briefly more exposed afterwards, which means sunscreen is not optional for a few days in Miami. And it is not for everyone: active acne, cold sores or very reactive skin are reasons to do something else, which the consultation will catch. What is not a downside is the myth — the hair does not grow back thicker or darker, because cutting a hair does not change the follicle.

For the right skin and the right goal, routinely — it is one of the most requested treatments on any esthetician's menu. What a good one will not do is recommend it for a problem it cannot solve. Yes, and it is the best-timed thing on this page: two or three days before, so skin is at its smoothest and makeup applies like a filter. A peel wants at least a week before an event; microdermabrasion three or four days.
