Why curly is its own discipline
A curl is a spring. Length behaves differently on it than on straight hair, because every inch you remove pulls the curl up further than the inch suggests — which is how a “trim” becomes a shock. Weight distribution matters more too: curly hair carries volume in places straight hair doesn't, and a shape that ignores that produces the triangle everyone with curls has been given at least once.
Curl pattern also varies across a single head. Most curly people have looser curl underneath, tighter curl at the crown, and something else entirely at the hairline. Cutting to an average of that gets you a shape that fits nobody. Reading it properly — and cutting to what your hair actually does rather than what it does after a blow dry — is the skill you are booking.
Which is also why we ask you to arrive with your hair worn the way you actually wear it. If you wear it curly, come curly. A straightened arrival hides every piece of information the appointment depends on.

A curly cut is booked as a haircut with a stylist blow dry: from $125 with a Senior stylist, $145 with a Master, and $165 with a Director. Color is priced separately — a single process starts from $110 and balayage from $240 — and the Olaplex Bond Multiplier Service is a $50 add-on that is worth taking on curls you are lightening.

- Only if you want to. Smoothing treatments are a legitimate choice and we offer them, but plenty of people fight humidity far more effectively with a cut that works with their curl pattern instead of against it. Our honest advice usually starts with the cut, not the chemistry — and a stylist who tells you that first is worth keeping.
