What a Blowout Really Survives Here
Most salon sites promise three to five days. They were not written in Miami Beach. Hair is hygroscopic — it takes water out of the air — and the air here holds a great deal of it for most of the year. A blow dry sets the hair into a shape it does not hold on its own, and humidity is the force returning it. Two to three days is a good winter result. In August, one is normal.
We would rather tell you that before you book than have you discover it on the walk to the car. It changes what you should book, not whether you should: for an event, come the day before rather than the morning of, so the shape settles and you are not relying on it to hold through the afternoon as well.
“Blowout” and “Brazilian Blowout” Are Not the Same Thing
One is a wash and a blow dry: a style, no chemistry, finished at the next shampoo. The other is a keratin smoothing treatment that changes how your hair behaves for two to four months. They share a word and nothing else, and the overlap sends people to the wrong page and occasionally into the wrong chair.
If what you want is frizz that stops coming back, that is a smoothing treatment, not a blow dry. If what you want is to look finished on Thursday, this is the page.
When to Stop Buying One Every Week
A weekly blowout is a standing cost with no residue. Over a summer it adds up past the price of a single smoothing treatment that lasts two to four months and makes the blow dry you do yourself at home faster and more likely to work. If you are in this chair every week for the same result, you are renting something you could own.
That is an argument against one of our own services, and we make it because the guests who take it come back for years. If you come in occasionally, or before something that matters, a blowout is exactly the right thing and a chemical treatment is overkill.
Who does blowouts
Every stylist on the floor blow-dries, so a blowout is the easiest appointment to book at short notice and the one most likely to fit between two longer ones. Prices follow the stylist's level, the same as every other service on the menu.

- How much is a blowout in Miami Beach?
- A shampoo and blowout is $70 with a Senior or Master stylist and $85 with a Director. If you are wearing extensions it is $90, because there is more hair to dry and the join has to be handled. A haircut includes the blow dry and starts at $125. Every color appointment already includes a discounted blowout, so do not book one separately alongside color.
- How long does a blowout last in Miami?
- Two to three days in winter, and often one in August. That is the honest local answer and it is shorter than the three-to-five days you will read on salon sites written for drier cities. Humidity is water in the air, and hair is hygroscopic — it pulls that water back in and returns to the shape it holds naturally. Nothing done in a chair suspends that; it only delays it.
- How do I make a blowout last longer here?
- Sleep on silk and tie it loosely on top of your head, not down your back. Skip conditioner at the roots on the wash before. Do not re-wet it, which includes a hot shower with the door shut. Dry shampoo on day two goes on the roots before it looks like it needs it. And plan the visit for the day before the event, not the morning of, so the shape settles.
- What is the difference between a blowout and a Brazilian Blowout?
- They share a name and nothing else. A blowout is a wash and a blow dry — a style, no chemistry, gone at the next wash. A Brazilian Blowout is a keratin smoothing treatment that changes how the hair behaves for two to four months. If you are searching for one and reading about the other, that is the industry's fault, not yours.
- Should I get keratin instead of a weekly blowout?
- Do the arithmetic before you decide. A blowout every week is about $70 a visit; over a summer that is a larger number than a single smoothing treatment which lasts two to four months and makes your own blow dry at home faster. If you are here weekly for the same result, you are renting something you could own. If you come in occasionally, or for events, a blowout is the right thing and keratin is overkill.
- Do I need to wash my hair before a blowout?
- No — the shampoo is part of the appointment, and it is not a formality. The blow dry is set while the hair dries, so it starts from wet by design. Arriving with clean dry hair does not save time and usually costs you the result.
- Can I get a blowout with extensions?
- Yes, and it is priced separately at $90. There is more hair to move and the join needs to be dried and passed over carefully, so it takes longer than a natural blow dry. Tell us you are wearing extensions when you book rather than when you sit down.
- Can I book a blowout on the same day?
- Often, yes. It is the shortest appointment on the hair menu and the easiest to fit between longer bookings, so a same-day text is worth sending. Weekend evenings and the week of a holiday are the exceptions.
