One threader, by design

Fariba Asgari is the only person who threads at McAllister Spa, and guests ask for her by name. That is deliberate: threading is precision work, and a line drawn by the same hands every visit is how a brow stays a brow instead of drifting a little each time.

Request anyone by name when you book — it's the single easiest way to get the right chair. Meet the whole team.

Why Threading, and Why It Is Its Own Page

Threading is an old craft, from Persia and South Asia, and it has never been improved on for one job: the line. A twisted cotton thread rolls across the skin and lifts hair in a row, at the follicle, without pulling on the skin itself. That means an exact edge, no wax residue, no heat, and nothing to react to, which is why it is the usual choice for anyone on retinoids or acne treatment, and why it suits the thin skin around the eye.

It is also a skill that lives in one pair of hands. A threader learns the line over months, and the difference between someone who threads every day and someone who threads now and then is visible from across a room. So we do not spread it across the floor. Fariba does it, and the rest of the floor books threading with her.

What to Expect

Fifteen minutes for brows, a little more for the full face. You will be asked what you want the brow to do before anything is removed, because shaping is a decision about your face and not about hair. Expect a sting per pass and slight redness for an hour. Skip makeup on the area for the rest of the day, and come back in three to five weeks.

Want your exact price first?

Published prices are where a service starts — where yours lands depends on your hair. Text us a photo and a stylist will quote you back, usually within minutes. Or come in for a free consultation and leave knowing the exact number before anything begins.

Common Questions

Who does threading at McAllister Spa?
One person: Fariba Asgari. Threading is a craft on its own, not an add-on to waxing, and we would rather have one specialist who does it every day than several people who do it occasionally. Ask for Fariba by name when you book; she also sees guests in Farsi and Arabic.
How much is eyebrow threading in Miami Beach?
Eyebrow threading starts at $40 and eyebrow shaping at $45. Upper lip threading is from $20, the eyebrow and upper lip combo is $60, and full facial threading starts at $65. Prices are starting prices; every appointment begins with a free consultation.
Is threading or waxing better for eyebrows?
Threading lifts a row of hair at a time with a twisted cotton thread, which gives a more exact line and takes nothing off the skin's surface. That makes it the better choice for shaping and for skin that reacts to wax, including anyone using retinoids or acne treatments. Waxing clears larger areas faster. Many guests thread their brows and wax everything else; we offer both.
Does threading hurt?
It stings for a second per pass, less than a wax strip and without the heat. Most first-timers say the anticipation was worse than the threading. A good threader works fast, and speed is most of the comfort.
How often should I get my eyebrows threaded?
Every three to five weeks for most people. Threading removes hair at the follicle, so regrowth is slower and finer than with tweezing, and keeping a schedule means each visit is a tidy-up rather than a rebuild.
Do you thread men's eyebrows?
Yes. Men's brow threading is the same service at the same price, and the goal is usually the opposite of a shape: cleaning the line and the space between without anyone being able to tell you had it done.
Can I book threading with a haircut or color?
Yes, and it is the easiest add-on on the menu. Text us both services and we will stack them; Fariba is also a Senior Colorist, so brows and color can be the same chair.
