Miami Beach
A Hair Salon
Near South of Fifth
SoFi is the quiet end of South Beach, and the people who live there tend to like it that way. It is also one of the few neighborhoods where our address is close enough to walk to on a decent morning — straight up Alton Road, past the Publix, and you are here.
Getting here
About a mile south of us — a short drive down Alton, or a genuinely walkable trip if the weather is behaving.
The trip from South of Fifth
Alton Road runs directly between us. From the SoFi towers it is a short drive north with free parking in our own lot at 1301 Alton, which matters more here than almost anywhere else on the island — street parking south of Fifth is its own sport, and nobody wants to feed a meter through a two-hour color service.
Who we see from South of Fifth
A lot of standing appointments. SoFi residents are locals rather than visitors, which means color maintenance on a schedule, gray coverage that has to be consistent every six weeks, and the same stylist every time. It is the neighborhood most likely to book the next appointment before leaving the chair.
What they book
Every published price is a starting price, and every service begins with a free consultation. The full menu lists all of it on one page.
Open seven days a week
Including the Sundays and Mondays much of Miami Beach takes off. Free parking at 1301 Alton Rd, and a free consultation on every service.
Common Questions
- Can I walk to McAllister Spa from South of Fifth?
- Plenty of people do. We are at 1301 Alton Road, roughly a mile north of the SoFi towers along Alton itself, so it is a straight and flat walk. If you would rather drive, parking is free in our lot — which is usually the deciding factor for a longer color or smoothing appointment.
- Do you take standing appointments for regular color?
- Yes, and we encourage it for anyone on a maintenance schedule. Booking your next visit before you leave is the only reliable way to keep the same stylist at the same time of week, particularly heading into Art Basel and the holidays when the calendar tightens.
