Every year the same thing happens. Someone calls on December 3rd wanting a full balayage for a party on December 5th, and the honest answer is that the good slots went two weeks ago. Here's the calendar, early enough to be useful.
The stretch that fills first
Miami Beach doesn't have one busy week in December — it has five, back to back. Miami Art Week and Art Basel run November 30 through December 6, and the fair is a ten-minute walk from our chairs. Holiday parties then stack through the whole month. New Year's Eve closes it out as the single most photographed night of the year.
Thanksgiving deserves its own mention, because people forget it: the week of family dinners and reunions is quietly one of the busiest salon weeks of the year, and the photos taken that day get framed.

Work backward from the date
The rule that saves people: chemical services belong the week before, not the week of.
Color, balayage and highlights — two to three weeks ahead. Not because the appointment takes that long, but because if you're going meaningfully lighter, doing it responsibly can take two sessions. Starting three weeks out means you have room for a second one. Starting three days out means you get whatever is achievable safely in one, which may not be the photo.
Smoothing and keratin treatments — two weeks ahead, minimum. These want time to settle, and there are aftercare rules in the first days. Do not schedule one for the day before an event.
Extensions — three to four weeks ahead if you're new to them. A first placement needs a consultation to match color and choose a method, and the hair itself has to be right. Existing wearers should book maintenance well before the event, not after it's already loosening.
Cuts — one to two weeks ahead. A fresh cut looks better on day five than on day one, and it gives you room to come back if something needs adjusting.
Blowouts, manicures and HydraFacials — the day of, or the day before. These are the same-week services. A HydraFacial is genuinely the morning-of move because there's no downtime. Gel or dip manicures early in the week hold through the weekend.
Book the stylist, not just the slot
During Art Basel and the week before New Year's, specific stylists book out before the salon does. If you have someone you see, that's who fills first. Booking in November for a December appointment with a Director is not overplanning — it's the only way it happens.
Two things worth knowing
We're open seven days a week, including the Sundays and Mondays much of Miami Beach takes off. Through December that's not a small detail — those are the days you can still get in when everywhere else is closed.
And a straight answer about New Year's Eve: December 31 runs on a special event-day menu. It's a short list of high-demand services built for volume, and the pricing that day is meaningfully higher than our regular published menu. The prices elsewhere on this site do not apply on the 31st. We'll confirm the menu and your exact event-day price when you book — we'd rather tell you in advance than surprise you at the chair.
