Holiday Hair — Treatments Worth Booking First

December in Miami Beach is not one event, it is five weeks of them — Art Week, office parties, family arrivals, New Year's Eve. That changes which treatments are worth booking, because the right answer is the one that pays off repeatedly rather than once.

Treatments that buy you the whole month

Smoothing is the highest-leverage booking of the season. An express keratin blowout starts from $275, a Brazilian Blowout or Goldwell Kerasilk from $350. The frizz reduction sells the first appointment; the twenty minutes saved every single morning across five weeks of events is what actually makes it worth it.

Book it in November. These treatments want time to settle and have aftercare rules in the first days, so the week before Art Week is already late.

A gloss or toner, from $65, is the other quiet one. It refreshes tone without a full color service and without asking much of your hair — which matters if you are already doing more heat styling than usual.

Bond protection belongs on anything chemical you do this season. The Olaplex Bond Multiplier Service is a $50 add-on, and December is when hair takes the most cumulative punishment.

One-night services, booked the week of

Blowouts from $70, gel manicures from $49, and a Signature HydraFacial at $185 — the last one being the morning-of option because it has no downtime at all.

These are the same-week category. Do not book them three weeks out and do not book chemical services in their place.

The sequencing that goes wrong

Every December someone books a color service the same week as a smoothing treatment, or a big lightening job three days before a party. Both are avoidable.

Color and smoothing interact, and which comes first depends on the specific treatment. Ask at the consultation rather than booking both blind — it is a thirty-second question that can save an entire service.

And a big lift wants two to three weeks and possibly two appointments. Compressed into party week, you get whatever is safely achievable in one sitting, which may not be the photo you brought.

What December does to hair

More heat styling than usual, more late nights, more product, and the constant move between air conditioning and humid outdoor air. Cumulatively that is a hard month even before any chemistry.

Which is the honest argument for treatments over restyling: something that reduces how much you have to do to your hair every morning is worth more in December than something that looks impressive once.

The calendar

Art Week runs November 30 to December 6, holiday parties fill the whole month, and New Year's Eve runs on a special event-day menu — a short list of high-demand services at event pricing meaningfully above our regular published prices. The prices on this site do not apply on December 31, and we confirm the menu and your exact price when you book.

The full season is on our Miami Beach calendar, with a complete Art Week guide.

Every price is a starting price; the full menu has all of them. Free consultation, seven days a week at 1301 Alton Road.
