Art Week is the busiest stretch of the year on Miami Beach, and the beauty side of it runs on a schedule most people work out too late. Here is that schedule, early enough to actually use.
The dates
Miami Art Week runs Monday, November 30 through Sunday, December 6, 2026, with Art Basel Miami Beach at the Convention Center on December 4–6. The fair is the anchor, but the week around it is the real event — satellite fairs, gallery openings, private previews, brand activations, and rooftop parties stacked from Monday night onward.
We're at 1301 Alton Road, under a mile from the Convention Center, which during Art Week is a genuinely useful piece of geography.
Work backward from your first event
The rule that saves people every year: chemical services belong the week before Art Week, not during it.
Three weeks out — color. If you're going meaningfully lighter for the week, start now. A big lightening job on hair with history can take two sessions to do responsibly, and three weeks gives you room for the second one. Balayage starts from $240, full highlights from $270. Booking on December 1st for a December 3rd opening gets you whatever is safely achievable in one appointment, which may not be the photo you brought.
Two to three weeks out — smoothing. This is the single most underrated Art Week move, and the reason is in the next section. An express keratin blowout starts from $275; a Brazilian Blowout or Goldwell Kerasilk treatment from $350. These want time to settle and have aftercare rules in the first days, so they do not belong in the same week as your events.
Two weeks out — extensions and cuts. A first extensions placement needs a consultation to match color and choose a method; tape-in placement starts from $499. A cut looks better on day five than day one, so give it a week.
The week of — everything fast. Blowouts from $70, gel manicures from $49, eyebrow threading from $40, a gloss to refresh tone from $65. A Signature HydraFacial at $185 is the morning-of move, because there's no downtime — no peeling, no recovery window, which is exactly why it works on the day of a party rather than the week before.
The thing nobody plans for: December humidity
Miami in early December is milder than August, but it is still Miami. Ocean air, outdoor tents, packed gallery rooms, and moving between air conditioning and the street all night — hair that behaved perfectly at 6pm can be a different animal by 9pm.
This is why smoothing treatments are the highest-leverage Art Week booking there is. They don't just reduce frizz on the night; they cut your morning styling time in half for the entire week, which matters when you have events on five consecutive days. If you do one thing on this list ahead of time, make it this.
If your hair is also being lightened, the Olaplex Bond Multiplier Service is a $50 add-on worth taking. Colour and smoothing in the same season is a lot to ask of hair, and the sequencing of the two matters — ask at your consultation which order yours needs, because getting it wrong wastes an entire service.
If you're visiting for the week
You can almost certainly get in. We're open seven days a week — including the Sunday and Monday that bookend Art Week, when much of Miami Beach is closed — with free on-site parking, which during Art Week is not a small thing.
