New Year's Eve in Miami Beach — The Booking Plan

New Year's Eve is the most compressed night of the year on South Beach, and the last week of December is the most compressed week in this building. Here is how it works, plainly, so nothing about it is a surprise in late December.

First, the part most places don't tell you

December 31st runs on its own menu. It is a short list — fewer than ten high-demand services — built for volume on a day when everyone wants to be finished by early evening. It carries event-day pricing, and the regular published prices on our menu do not apply on the 31st.

That is worth knowing in September rather than on the 30th. Every other day in December runs normally, at normal prices. Only the 31st is different.

The real deadline is earlier than the 31st

Anything chemical belongs well before the last week.

Color and balayage from $240 want two to three weeks, partly because going meaningfully lighter can take two appointments to do responsibly. A smoothing or keratin treatment from $275 wants the same runway and should not be scheduled the day before anything — these want time to settle.

A cut looks better on day five than day one, so one to two weeks ahead is the right window if you want it to look like your hair rather than a fresh haircut.

For skin, the Signature HydraFacial at $185 is the exception. There is no downtime, which makes it the one treatment that genuinely works close to the day rather than needing a clear week ahead of it.

Nails are the thing people leave too late

A Gelish gel manicure at $49–$65 holds through a night that involves a dress, a car, a crowd and probably sand. Regular polish is lovely and will not survive that. If you want gel, book it in the last week of December — not on the 31st, when the menu is short and the chairs are spoken for.

The honest scheduling advice

The last week of December is the busiest of our year, and it collides with Art Basel's aftermath and the start of high season. The appointments that go first are late-afternoon slots on the 30th and 31st, for obvious reasons.

We are open seven days a week, including the Sundays and Mondays much of Miami Beach takes off, which gives December more usable days here than most calendars in the neighborhood — but it does not make the last week bigger than it is.

What to do now

Decide which of these you actually want: color, a cut, a treatment, nails, skin. Then book the chemical work for mid-December and the finishing work for the last week.
