Thanksgiving is the sleeper on the salon calendar. Nobody thinks of it as a beauty occasion, and then the photos from that day end up framed, printed, and on a mantel for a decade.
The week
Thursday, November 26, 2026. The genuinely busy stretch is the Monday through Wednesday before it — and those three days are considerably busier than most people expect, because everyone realises at once.
Thursday morning itself is the plan to avoid. Hours are limited, availability is thin, and a rushed appointment on the morning of a family gathering is the opposite of what you want.
Book Monday to Wednesday
That's the whole recommendation, and it's a better outcome anyway: hair looks better on day two than day zero. A blowout done Wednesday photographs beautifully on Thursday and takes the morning-of pressure out entirely.
A blowout starts from $70. A gel manicure from $49 — worth it for a day spent passing dishes and holding a glass, where hands are in more photographs than anyone anticipates.
Colour belongs the week before
If your roots are the thing you'd notice in a photo, that's a two-to-three-week-out job, not a Thanksgiving-week one. Single-process colour starts from $110, balayage from $240, and a gloss or toner to refresh tone from $65 — that last one is the quiet workhorse before photo season, because it brightens without a full colour service.
The reunion factor
Thanksgiving is when people see family they haven't seen in a year, which is why it drives a different kind of booking than a party does. It's the week we see the most whole-family appointments — a mother and daughters, a men's cut from $65 alongside a blowout, everyone handled in one visit because there's one car and one window.
If that's your morning, tell us when you book and we'll schedule the chairs to run together rather than staggered. Hair, nails and skin are all in one building here, which is the entire reason that works.
For visitors
