How the Free Consultation Works
Every published price on our menu is a starting price. That is honest rather than evasive, but it leaves an obvious question: what will mine cost? There are two ways to answer it, and neither requires committing to anything.
Send a photo, get a number
Text (305) 604-0550 with a photo of your hair and what you want to change. You will get a quote back before you come in.
This works better than people expect, because most of what moves a price is visible. A colorist looking at a photo can see roughly how much hair there is, how long it is, what has already been done to it, and how far it is from where you want to go. Those four things are most of the number.
What helps:
- Natural light, no filter. Filters change tone, which is the exact thing being assessed.
- Dry hair, worn how you actually wear it. Wet hair hides density and behavior. If you wear it curly, send it curly.
- A shot from the back if you can get one, or ask someone. The back is where length and density actually live.
- Your history, briefly. Box dye, a previous lightening, a keratin treatment, or anything done in the last year. This changes the plan more than anything else in the message.
- The photo of where you want to get to, if you have one. See bringing a photo to your colorist for what makes a reference photo useful.
The in-person consultation is free on every service
Not a deposit, not credited against the appointment, not a sales meeting. Free.
It exists because the honest version of this work requires someone to touch your hair and look at your skin. A stylist reads density, growth pattern, porosity and condition; an esthetician reads what your skin is doing that week rather than what a treatment name promises. Then you get told what is achievable, in how many appointments, at what cost.
Sometimes the answer is that today is not the day — that your hair needs a treatment before it needs a lightener, or that what you are asking for takes two appointments to do responsibly rather than one. Hearing that before you are in the chair with foils in is the entire point.
What a consultation should tell you
You should leave knowing four things: what is being done, how long it takes, what it costs, and what it will need in maintenance. If any of those is vague, ask again — particularly the last one. A balayage that looks perfect and needs re-doing in six weeks is a different purchase from one that grows out gracefully over four months.
It also answers "who should I book with"
Our floor is organized around specialties rather than just seniority — extensions, curly and textured hair, color correction, smoothing, threading, advanced skincare. Part of what the consultation decides is who, and it is a real decision: see what our stylist levels actually mean for how Senior, Master and Director differ, and meet the floor for what each person is requested for by name.
