Hair Extensions in Miami Beach — How to Choose
Extensions are the service where the difference between a good result and a bad one is almost entirely the person doing them. The hair matters. The method matters more. The placement matters most.
Start with the method, not the brand
We carry Bellami, Hotheads and Cinderella, and people arrive asking for a brand far more often than for a method. That's backwards — the method determines how they wear, how they're maintained, and whether they suit your hair at all.
Tape-in is the most common and the easiest to live with. Wefts are taped either side of a thin section of your own hair, lying flat. Hotheads tape-in placement starts from $499 for 10–16 inches, from $549 for 18–20 and from $599 for 22 inches and up, with re-tape and maintenance from $399. Maintenance is a real part of the commitment rather than an afterthought.
Keratin bond and I-tip are individual-strand methods — more placement time, more movement, and a different maintenance rhythm. Cinderella organic keratin-bonded extensions and I-tip placement run from $1,099.
Which is right depends on your hair's density, how you wear it, and honestly how much maintenance you'll actually keep up with. That last one is the question people answer optimistically and regret.
The consultation is not a formality here
More than any other service on our menu, extensions need to be looked at before they're quoted. Color has to be matched — and matching to a color house rather than a box means we can blend to what your hair is actually doing, including at the root as it grows. Density has to be assessed, because there's a real limit to how much weight a given head of hair should carry. And length has to be sensible for your own hair's condition.
A consultation is free, and for extensions we'd rather you had one before booking anything.
Ask for Hali
Our resident extensions expert is Hali Diana, a Master Colorist, and she's who people book by name for this work. Being a colorist as well as an extensions specialist matters here more than it sounds — matching and blending extension hair to colored hair is a color problem before it's a placement problem.
Paula Sperduto and Darlene Mayorca also place extensions. Requesting any of them by name when you book is free and it's the single easiest thing you can do to get the right result.
Living with them in Miami
Salt water, chlorine and sun are hard on extension hair, which cannot repair itself the way your own hair does. Sulfate-free shampoo genuinely extends their life. A silk pillowcase reduces overnight friction at the bonds. And brushing from the ends upward, with a proper extension brush, prevents the tugging that loosens placements.
Book maintenance before it's obviously needed rather than after — a re-tape on schedule is a routine appointment, and a re-tape three weeks late is a repair.
What it costs, honestly
Every figure above is a starting price, and extension services also involve the cost of the hair itself, which varies by length and quantity. That's exactly why we quote after seeing your hair rather than before.
Text a photo to (305) 604-0550 and we'll tell you what's realistic first, or come in for a free consultation.
